#MomprenuerMonday The Secret to Managing Motherhood and Your Biz

That’s right today I’m spilling the beans and sharing secrets.  This is the only way to make motherhood and entrepreneurship work for without asking God to grant you a miracle on a daily basis. Of course prayer should be apart of your business strategy, which is why I wrote my latest book, Pursuing Your Passion in a Godly Fashion, but there’s something really pratical that you can do to keep yourself from going crazy.

Are you ready for me to reveal the secret?

Get real close: Ask for help.

That’s right. Asking for help is an actual strategy that will save your business and preserve your mental health. There is this misleading image of moms and entrepreneurs floating around that makes you think unless you’re doing it all on your own you’re not really doing anything.

Not true.
Ask your family for support with kids–whether you need a day to run errands, take calls, or a day off you better open your mouth and ask for help. Remember, if you’ve made the right kinds of friends then they’re family too. You can ask them for help and if you can’t you need new friends.

Ask other entrepreneurs for their support and advice. Instead of staying up until 3am reading random articles after searching how to monetize your Instagram, just ask someone (by the way click here to download 5 free tips to promote your book and build your brand using Instagram)

Ask your husband, partner, or baby daddy to take over some things that might typically have been a task or chore that you do regularly.

It’s that simple. The same way that you pray and ask God for help you have to actively utilize the people He’s placed in your life to help you.

Now, help me out share some your secrets in the comments. How are you managing motherhood and business without going crazy?

And don’t forget to pre-order your copy of Pursuing Your Passion in a Godly Fashion.

Pathways to Your #Passion: Connect to Your Source

The pathway to your promise isn’t a straight one. There will be boulders that you have to try and circumvent, there will be tiny pebbles that will appear to be minuscule yet cause you to stumble greatly. There will traffic jams that will make you believe that you will never reach the other side of your passion on time. But time and success are relative when you connect to your source.

I don’t know what your picture of success looks like and I don’t know what date or time you’ve stamped and connected to the moment in which your success will be cemented in the sands of time, but you must know this, “for promotion cometh neither from the east, nor the west, nor from the south. God is the judge: he putteth one down, setteth up another.” Your success isn’t dependent upon all of your elbow grease, your networking, the midnight oil you burned, although those things are necessary factors in the equation. If you want to reap a harvest you have to sow some seeds, but the rain comes from the heavens and heaven is His throne. You must connect to your source to reach the other side of your passion.

Connect to Your Source:

1. Let Him in on your plans and intentions. Be honest with God, He can take it.

2, Let Him in on the timeline you have. Again, be honest with God, He can take it.Psalm 75.6-7

3, Ask Him what He wants and realign (trust me, you will have to realign) the vision you have for your success.

4.  Spend time in prayer and even fasting to get into the heart of God and really understand what it means to walk, run, and ride, to your passion with Him by your side backing you.

5. Then get to marching. Your pathway might look different and you will feel different, but once you’re connected to your source reaching the other side of your passion will be a blessed journey and you will experience success before you experience success. Remember your success is not dependent upon you or anyone else, but in you putting your trust in His righteousness, in His abundance, in His faithfulness, in His provision, and in His vision.

How do you currently connect to your source?  How have you found strength to carry on? Do you feel better knowing that your promotion and exaltation is in God’s hands?

Fast to Bring Our Daughters Back

“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Mordecai spoke these words to Esther after asking her to get the king to do something about the decree issued to murder all the children of Israel in the land. I keep hearing these words each time I look at the images of the mothers in Nigeria crying and begging an unstable government that is apparently incapable of protecting their people from terrorist to bring their daughters back.  free our girls

Approximately two weeks ago over two hundred Nigerian girls were kidnapped from their school. Reports have been made that some of the girls have already been sold into marriage or sexual slavery. Generally, I steer clear of politics and I have never undertaken any type of project related to anything that looked political, but this isn’t political this heart breaking. I can’t stand by and watch this happen and I hope that you feel the same. While our Secretary of State John Kerry has stated that the U. S. will help support the Nigerian government in getting these girls back home; he has not explained how and when this aid would come. They can’t wait.

I don’t know Kerry and I don’t Obama. Even if I did I doubt that I could have reached them fast enough to help these girls, however I know the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and I know that He is concerned about whatever concerns me. I believe that we have been prepared for a time such as this.

Please join me in a three day fast for the safe and speedy return of these girls.

The fast would begin tomorrow, Sunday, May 4th-Wednesday, May 7. During those three days let us lift our voices to the Lord Jesus Christ and watch Him move on their behalf.

If you would like to join me please post your prayers in the comments section and be sure to share this with your friends and family until there are at least two hundred people fasting for each one of these girls.

If you aren’t going to join me please share and repost this anyway.
